Jennifer has been with Keynotes School of music for 22 years. She is an accomplished pianist, composer and academic. At present, she is finishing her ARCT in piano performance. Graduating from York University, she holds a BFA (cum laude) and a Masters Degree in composition. While studying at York, she has premiered several of her original compositions. She also holds a BA from the University of Toronto. Currently she is working on completing her PhD in musicology (ABD) at York. Her background also includes having played viola for the Etobicoke Philharmonic orchestra (1999-2009). At Keynotes, she is a senior level piano teacher (beginner to Grade 10), as well as being a theory specialist, instructing all levels of theory and composition. A primary goal is having her students enjoy and understand the music they play, as well as ensuring correct technique and interpretation. As an educator, she believes that every student has a unique way of learning and she strives to enable each student to develop their own unique talents.
